Dynasty Rules/Guidelines

Trade Deadline

Sunday of Week 12 – 12:00PM Eastern Standard Time (Moved back one week to account for the NFL extending the season by one week starting in 2021)

Offseason

Separate FAAB for the offseason. This will be reset after the conclusion of our championship

The offseason FAAB will have to last you until our Rookie Draft. FAAB will be reset after the draft and last the entire following season.

Rookie Draft

Four round Rookie Draft (Linear)

If more picks are acquired than Taxi slots available, additional players will have to be placed on the active roster.

Draft Order

Slots 1-6 go to non-playoff teams.

The 1st draft slot goes to the non-playoff team with the lowest ‘Max Points For’ over the course of the regular season. This continues for slots 2nd – 6th.

Note: ‘Max Points For’ is calculated in the Sleeper App. To view, click ‘View Details’ next to the Standings.

‘Max Points For’ are calculated on a weekly basis like Best Ball. Your top QB scorer, two RBs, two WRs, TE, and two FLEX players will count towards your ‘Max Points For’ even if they were on the bench any given week.

As an example, say you roster Kirk Cousins and Ryan Tannehill. You start Cousins Week 1 and he scores 20 points while Tannehill scores 22 points on the bench. Cousins’ points will count towards your weekly matchup, but Tannehill’s points will count towards your ‘Max Points For’ .

Slots 7-12 go to the playoff qualifiers.

Slots 7/8 go to the 1st round playoff losers. The loser with the most points in round one gets pick 7.

This continues through the playoffs with the champ receiving the 12th draft slot.

Tanking

If tanking is in the best interest of your franchise, then tank away.

However, please do not start inactive players, players on bye, or leave a starting spot empty.

Taxi Squad

Only drafted rookies (in our Rookie Draft) are eligible for the TS. No UDFAs.

Once drafted, rookies can be placed on the TS.

Players can’t be shuttled back and forth once the season begins.

This means once promoted to the active roster, they can never go back to the Taxi.

The maximum amount of time a player can stay on the TS is two seasons. For example, I draft Jordan Love in the 2020 Rookie Draft and place him on my Taxi. He can sit on my taxi through the 2020 and 2021 seasons. If Love has not been called up to the active roster prior to Week 1 of the 2022 season (Labor Day is the exact deadline), he must either be moved up to the active roster or dropped.

You can trade for a player another manager is stashing on the TS and place them on your own TS. Players that have been cut by another manager cannot be added and placed on the taxi.

Each manager has 10 Taxi slots. As mentioned earlier, if more picks are acquired than Taxi slots available, additional players will have to be placed on the active roster.

Accidental Drop/Drop Made due to False Information

I’m always trying to improve the league anyway I can, even if it’s something small and seemingly insignificant.

In 2020, when Lou dropped Zack Moss in Redraft due to the false Matthew Berry Sleeper notification, a classic old-school debate ensued. With no precedent to look back on, I felt like I really couldn’t make a quality decision on the situation and the league was torn on the matter .

Looking back at how things played out, it was completely insignificant, but it has now brought awareness to the subject and we can move forward with a set rule on if something like this ever happens again.

If someone makes a spur of the moment decision on an add/drop due to a notification and it turns out that it was clearly wrong, I will undo the add/drop for the manager. You have to let me know promptly if you’d like this done, it can’t be like a day later or anything like that.

I am also going to take this opportunity to extend this to if you accidentally drop the wrong player when completing a transaction. This is only for if it is clearly a mistake and you let me know promptly after the transaction is processed. It can’t be down the line, next day, etc.

Please continue to double check your add/drops prior to submitting them in the app, but I wanted to put this in writing now just because this could easily be something that pops up in the future.
